he Minister of Education has decided to place Seeds International School under supervision
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, closely and diligently followed all the details of the inhumane incident that occurred at Seeds International School in Cairo involving a number of our students.
From the moment the details of the incident emerged, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif directed the immediate dispatch of a large committee to the school to investigate the circumstances.
Based on the findings of the ministerial committee's investigation into the incident, which is currently under investigation by the Public Prosecution, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif issued the following decisions:
- Placing the school under full financial and administrative supervision and transferring its management entirely to the Ministry.
- Referring all officials found to be involved in covering up or gross negligence in protecting the students at the school to the Legal Affairs Department.
In this context, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stated, “There is no crime more heinous than harming a child. Our children are a trust placed in our care, and protecting them is a duty that brooks no negligence. Any school that fails to adhere to safety and security standards and does not safeguard the rights of our children does not deserve to be part of the Egyptian educational system, and deterrent measures will be taken against it.”
The Minister emphasized that any harm inflicted upon our children is an unforgivable crime, and addressing it takes precedence over any educational matter. Protecting the dignity and safety of children is protecting the entire nation.
