The Minister of Education conducts a surprise inspection tour of two schools in Gharbia
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, conducted a surprise inspection tour of a number of schools in Gharbia Governorate today to follow up on the educational system there, where he was accompanied on the visit by a delegation of education file editors in newspapers and websites.
The Minister was also accompanied during his tour by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up.
The Minister began his inspection tour by visiting "Abdullah Shenishen Girls Preparatory School" in the Qutur Education Administration, which includes 413 female students, where he was briefed on the nature of student densities in the school, and was keen to follow up on the activation of weekly evaluation mechanisms for various subjects, in addition to following up on the class notebooks and school assignments for female students.
The Minister interviewed the female students about their future aspirations, the extent of their comprehension of the academic subjects, and their benefit from weekly evaluations and monthly tests.
The Minister also checked on the regularity of studies at the school, wishing the students success and directing them to exert more effort and dedication in completing their lessons and arming themselves with knowledge.
Following that, the Minister headed to inspect the "Modern Prison Elementary School" in the Qutur Education Administration, which includes 557 male and female students, where the Minister was keen to follow up on the class notebooks and school assignments, and the extent of commitment to weekly assessments, praising the students' level in Arabic and mathematics.
The Minister also inspected the (Science and Computer) laboratories, where the Minister praised the students' scientific level.
At the end of his tour of the school, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif held a dialogue with the delegation of education file editors accompanying the visit, during which he praised the great role of Egypt's teachers in the discipline of the current academic year, describing them as "heroes". He also stressed the discipline of students' attendance at schools, which exceeded 85% this academic year compared to 9% last year, noting that the discipline of students' attendance at schools contributed to their reliance on academic achievement from schools primarily and staying away from any other external sources.
The Minister stressed that all schools across the Republic are witnessing daily follow-up by the Ministry through continuous follow-up committees to ensure the discipline of the educational process and the implementation of all announced decisions and mechanisms.
The Minister also touched, in his statements to the accompanying press delegation, on the year's work that contributed to motivating students and attracting them to school, in addition to the weekly evaluations and monthly tests that contributed to teachers standing and following up on their academic achievement rate, adding that the implementation of the school discipline regulations placed the educational system within schools within a disciplined framework that preserves the rights and duties of both the teacher and the student.
The Minister also pointed out the Ministry's success in overcoming the shortage in the number of teachers, stressing that there is currently no shortage of teachers of basic subjects in any school across the country. The Minister concluded his statements by stressing that overcoming the challenges facing the educational system in schools related to overcrowding and the shortage in the number of teachers represents a step towards advancing various aspects of the educational process, noting that the Ministry is intensifying all its efforts to provide a real educational service to students in schools to raise generations that will advance the nation.
