Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the ministry and the Shenzhen Institute of Professional Arts in China, which was signed by default, with the aim of developing technical education curricula and integrating life skills, higher levels of thinking, problem solving, entrepreneurship and innovation in teaching technical education programs and teacher training.
The signing of the protocol was attended by the Ministry, Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Technical Education, Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, Zheng Hongbo, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Committee in Shenzhen, and Zhang Tao, Chargé d'Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, from the Chinese side.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools, Dr. Sabri Othman, Director of the Education Directorate in Luxor Governorate, and from the Chinese side, Yang Zin Bin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shenzhen Institute.
Dr. Reda Hegazy said that this agreement comes as another step in the field of fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian and Chinese sides in the field of education, both public and technical, noting that within the framework of cooperation with the Chinese province of Tianjin, Luban workshop was established, which is a highly-equipped workshop and allows teacher training. Raising the efficiency of technical education students.
He explained that in the field of language education, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the main center of the Confucius Institute in China to allow the Chinese language to be taught in pre-university schools in Egypt as a second foreign language.
Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara stressed that the development that technical education is witnessing in Egypt is thanks to the political leadership’s interest and support for the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to implement the ministry’s strategy to transform into a new and advanced technical education system that depends on raising the capabilities of technical education cadres and developing and introducing study programs required in the labor market. With the participation of business owners in managing the educational process - to ensure that its graduates possess the necessary technical competencies to qualify them to compete for decent job opportunities at the local, regional and international levels.
He explained that the Egyptian-Chinese relations are flourishing and cooperation is deepening day by day and this is reflected in all fields, especially technical education. Technical education, a maintenance technology school, starting from the academic year 2022/2023.

Zheng Hongbo, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee, said the cooperation between China and Egypt in technical education, Chinese education and digital education has deepened a lot and achieved important results, and is a model for deep educational cooperation between China and Africa.
Shang Tao, Chargé d'Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, stressed that China is ready to work with Egypt to further deepen educational cooperation in various fields, and jointly promote the experimental work of Chinese education in primary and secondary schools in Egypt this fall.
