Minister of Education and Technical Education accompanies his Japanese counterpart
As part of the conclusion of his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, accompanied Mr. Matsumoto Yohei, Japan's Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, to the Shinzo Abe Axis. They posed for a commemorative photograph in front of this prominent landmark, which embodies the depth and strength of Egyptian-Japanese relations and symbolizes the ongoing cooperation between the two friendly nations.
During the visit, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif presented the Japanese Minister with a letter of thanks and appreciation from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the family of the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The letter expressed profound appreciation for the pivotal role the late Prime Minister played in establishing the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Egypt and Japan since 2014, a pivotal moment that marked a significant turning point in developing bilateral relations and strengthening frameworks for joint cooperation.
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his deep appreciation for the fruitful discussions and shared vision that resulted from his Japanese counterpart's visit regarding ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in curriculum development, the teaching of programming and artificial intelligence, as well as cooperation in technical and technological education and human capacity building. He emphasized that the Japanese experience is a leading model in developing educational systems and linking them to the needs of comprehensive development and the demands of the labor market.
For his part, the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology expressed his great pleasure at visiting the Arab Republic of Egypt and the positive outcomes of his visit. He commended the warm reception he received and affirmed his country's keenness to continue and expand cooperation with Egypt in various fields, especially in light of his meeting with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Both sides affirmed their commitment to supporting existing cooperation initiatives and opening new horizons for future partnerships. They also emphasized the importance of transferring Japanese expertise in quality assurance, institutional discipline, and skills development, which will contribute to preparing qualified human resources capable of competing at both the regional and international levels.
