The Minister of Education holds a meeting to follow up on the ministry's actions within the framework of the executive plan for the strategy for the advancement of the Sinai community

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with the ministry's leaders. To follow up on the actions taken by the Ministry to participate in the implementation plan to develop an integrated and coordinated strategy among all concerned agencies for the advancement of Sinai society, in accordance with presidential assignments.

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the attendees, stressing the ministry's interest in the Sinai community, and its role in containing young people and separating them from the negative aspects of society, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in this regard.

With regard to the issue of literacy, the minister emphasized that the Ministry's Literacy Department supervises and fully and continuously supports the Literacy Commission to overcome all obstacles, stressing the importance of following up on the implementation of the strategic plan for combating illiteracy and educational dropout at various educational stages efficiently and effectively, and enrolling newborns and children who do not have an identity. He also directed that the children whose papers have not been completed be counted, and that educational expediting be done for these children.

During the meeting, the minister also reviewed the plan for the maintenance of educational buildings and schools in North Sinai Governorate on the occasion of the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024, and he also directed the rapid expansion of the number of schools in the governorate.

The minister also directed the activation of school support groups in North Sinai Governorate by preparing more halls for school support groups and the participation of the most prominent distinguished teachers, while providing school support groups at reasonable prices for students.

In a related context, Dr. Reda Hegazy directed to expedite the completion of the STEM School of Excellence in the governorate for students to enroll in, starting from the next year 2024/2025.

During the meeting, the minister also reviewed the plan for integrated cultural, artistic, sports and social activities in the governorate, which is scheduled to start with the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024.

Adults, Hamza Radwan, Director of the Education Directorate in North Sinai, Major General Hisham Amin, Assistant Minister for Equipment, Gharib Hassan, Director General of the Educational Buildings Authority in North Sinai, and Medhat Kamel, Director of the Literacy Branch in North Sinai.
