The Minister of Education is discussing ways of cooperation with the Diabetic Foundation for Children's Intelligence and Care)

Dr. Reda Hijazi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with the Board of Trustees of the Diabetic Foundation for Childhood Intelligence and Care, within the framework of the Ministry's interest in cooperating with civil society organizations in implementing a number of areas of cooperation, including improving the Arabic language and addressing double linguistics among students.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hijazi welcomed the attendees, expressing his pleasure in cooperating with the Foundation in improving the Arabic language among students, stressing the Ministry's interest in teaching children Arabic reading and writing with high quality, so that they can be fluent in learning science, mathematics, and others, pointing out that the Arabic language is the mother of ( cultures), and that the child in the early years can learn more than one language.
The minister pointed out that there is a challenge facing students when the Arabic language is the mother tongue and the study of sciences is in the English language. This is a difficult challenge for the student to undertake.
The minister touched on the ministry's interest in teachers, explaining that with regard to the teachers' competition, advanced teachers are tested in five components, one of which is the Arabic language component, where the teacher's language must be clear and sound.
For her part, Ms. Suhair El-Sukkari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Diabetic Foundation for Childhood Intelligence and Care, affirmed her confidence that our students will receive a good education in our Egyptian schools now, and the Diabetes Foundation’s readiness to provide all aspects of support to the Ministry in the interest of our students.
She explained that the Foundation aims to make an effective breakthrough in developing the intelligence of Egyptian children and eradicating their illiteracy, not only in Standard Arabic, but also in 4 other languages, namely English, French, Chinese and hieroglyphs, and enabling them to recover from the disease of bilingualism, by speaking in Standard Arabic as fluently as the language. Colloquialism before the age of six, which is the period of instinctive and automatic learning of languages, in order to stop the scourge of illiteracy from the source. Through this method, children learn words, the method of pronunciation, how to follow up with teachers, and pronounce sentences for children, and a story is presented by singing in five languages.
The meeting discussed cooperation to train a number of supervisors and teachers in kindergarten schools, preparing a training bag that includes methods of simplifying the Arabic language, dealing with children to master it alongside other languages, dealing with linguistic duplication, and distributing it to kindergarten teachers.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Mr. Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Dropouts from Education and Community Education, and Mr. Magdi Al-Jayar, Director General of the General Administration of Primary Education, and Dr. Muhammad Yahya Nassif, Chairman of the Executive Board of the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education, and from the Sukkary Foundation, Ms. Suhair Al-Sukkari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sugar Foundation for Child Intelligence and Care, and a group of members of the Council.
