The Ministry of Education and Technical Education held a meeting of the Steering Committee to manage the project to support teaching French in Egypt, headed by Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development.

The meeting discussed standing on the stages that have been completed in the project, and setting future plans for the next stage, as the project included a training stage for French language teachers and mentors (linguistic / digital / educational), which included (508) trainees of French language teachers and mentors from all over the Republic.

Dr. Akram Hassan stressed the need for good follow-up of the trained teachers and motivating the rest of the teachers to turn to this type of training that enhances the development of their performance, pointing to the need to develop curricula according to the general framework of the curricula, and emphasizing the need to include life and language skills, values and issues that concern not only the linguistic aspect. Rather, the student's life side.

He said that another phase of training should be planned, which is preparing training programs that enhance the capabilities of French language teachers to teach the developed curricula for French as a second foreign language.

For his part, Mr. David Sadoulet, Counselor of Cooperation and Cultural Action and Director of the French Institute in Egypt, expressed his happiness at the success achieved through the stages that were accomplished in the project and giving enough time to plan for the next stage, which represents a great challenge in the field of teaching the French language, stressing the desire to continue cooperation.
