Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in the activities of launching the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, which was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, today, Tuesday, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, and Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance. In his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy said: General education graduates are university education students, and university graduates are teachers who work with us to raise children, indicating that technical education starts from school, then university, then the labor market, indicating that technical education graduates possess a set of competencies. enable them to join the labor market.

The minister added: "We are facing three challenges in the educational field that we aspire together to overcome, and the first challenge is the challenge of creating an integrated educational path, in which the efforts of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research come together and integrate, so that this path starts from School through the university, up to the labor market, provided that our students in this path acquire many academic skills and information necessary to qualify them for the labor market, and the linkage of educational systems to the labor market is an inevitable necessity, imposed on us by the current changes in the global arena.

Dr. Reda Hegazy continued: “We aspire, through the system of new paths, to overcome the second challenge, which is to reduce the burdens on the shoulders of the Egyptian family in all stages of education, as the criterion for students’ excellence becomes based on the concept of competencies, instead of grades, and this needs to change the culture of education.” Society, until we eliminate the concept of top colleges, and thus the class classification of colleges and professions, the whole world is changing, and it is time for us to keep pace with this change.

The Minister of Education explained that the third challenge is represented in eradicating illiteracy, so the prominent role of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in facing this challenge comes through its original message through the sector of community service and environmental development, concluding his speech: We aspire for more cooperation between universities and the General Authority for Adult Education .

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, welcomed the attendees, stressing that the national strategy for higher education and scientific research 2030 is an investment in youth, and its achievement will be achieved through the collaboration of all ministries with the Ministry of Higher Education and the participation of the community concerned with development, indicating that to achieve higher education towards comprehensive development It will only be achieved through raising the quality of education, raising the quality of scientific research and its applications, preparing graduates for the labor market, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Ayman Ashour continued, saying: "These goals have begun to be implemented through the participation of the concerned community in developing a strategic plan, forming a committee of wise men, and holding several sessions to discuss the strategy," stressing the importance of integrating the concept of a comprehensive vision for education between the academic and professional path, through academic programs and certificates. In addition to developing programs in innovation, entrepreneurship and professional skills development.

Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, explained that the strategy is based on seven main axes: integration, interdisciplinary, communication, effective participation, sustainability, international reference, leadership and creativity.

The Minister of Higher Education said that the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is based on considering the comprehensive plan for the state 2030, indicating that the strategy aims to achieve a comprehensive vision for Egypt in the areas of sustainable development and various areas of economic growth with the aim of maximizing the role of various institutions in achieving the effective role in supporting development. in various economic, social, urban and environmental fields.
