The Minister of Education inspects the support groups at the Mohamed Zahran School
Within the framework of his visit to Alexandria Governorate, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, inspected the support groups at the Mohamed Zahran School affiliated to the East Alexandria Educational Administration, where he continued to deliver a lecture for the general secondary stage in the English language subject.
The Minister discussed with the students about the reasons for their joining the support groups, where one of the students confirmed that the support group provides the material in a distinguished way, in addition to the appropriate financial compensation for the support groups.
The Minister also discussed with the students their views on the guidance model that was published on the Ministry's website, where the students praised it for simulating the end-of-year exam and training them well.
In this context, the minister emphasized that the guiding forms provide questions that conform to the specifications of the year-end exams, so that students can practice them.
One of the integration students also praised the role of support groups in developing his abilities and encouraging him to collect academic subjects.
After that, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Young Education, held a meeting with the directors of educational departments in Alexandria Governorate, where the minister reviewed the mechanisms and controls governing the implementation of support groups, directing their activation; To improve the academic level of students, with an appropriate financial fee to reduce the burden on parents and consider them optional in the study materials for students at the level of the educational administration for the preparatory and general secondary certificates, and at the school level for transfer classes, and taking into account the number of students in support groups, in proportion to the space of the allocated halls.
The Minister listened to the opinions and proposals of the directors of the departments about the mechanisms for implementing the support groups, indicating that a decision was issued to allow the general directors of the relevant educational departments, in coordination with the Council of Parents and Trustees of the Directorate, to set a value for participation in public schools, and official schools "languages" for all stages, in proportion to the standard of living. Geographical scope and in the interest of students.
It is worth noting that the number of students participating in support groups in the governorate reached 72,000 students in various educational stages.
The Minister also stressed the importance of continuing to work to attract students to the school, especially the students of the third preparatory and third grades of secondary school, and their full return to school and the restoration of its educational role, directing to hold additional lectures for them in various academic subjects, in addition to activating all activities to attract them.
The minister stressed adherence to the periodic book for following up the daily absence of students, and an emphasis on activating electronic registration of absence on a weekly basis for all educational levels, as well as activating punitive measures for absence; To achieve discipline in the course of the educational process in the various stages of education.
He directed the minister to pay attention to the application of sports, artistic and cultural activities, to pay attention to the gifted, to discover them and to care for the outstanding among them, and directed their selection by preparing a form in which the guardian, teacher and student participate. To identify gifted students.
The minister also referred to the "Revive School Theater" initiative, directing that each administration should have a school theater team and prepare a theatrical work for each administration to participate in holding qualifiers nationwide.
The minister also reviewed the procedures for securing end-of-year examination committees for high school, stressing the importance of taking all measures to ensure the integrity of the regularity of examinations and not allowing any cases of fraud.
The minister pointed out that within the framework of the ministry's interest in people of determination, and the initiative of the Companions "Capable of Differently", the ministry has prepared guiding boards with the most used signs for deaf and mute students, accompanied by a QR code that shows the movement of the sign, and it will be circulated to all schools in the republic. To raise community awareness and spread the culture of sign language, and to facilitate their daily dealings, participation and integration as an authentic partner in society.
