The Minister of Education chairs the meeting of the Supreme Council for Pre-University Education to discuss the plan for the academic year 2022/2023
Yesterday evening, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education chaired the meeting of the Supreme Council for Pre-University Education, to discuss the plan for the new academic year 2022/2023, which is scheduled to start on October 1.
Dr. Reda Hegazy Ali stressed that the Supreme Council for Pre-University Education has a pivotal role in participating in decision-making, noting that it aimed to invite professors of faculties of education because they are an integral part of the education development process, and a sense of national responsibility towards the country, given that education is an issue of national security.
The minister said that the ministry seeks to provide a distinguished educational system; Based on quality assurance, which will achieve the sustainable development goals, in preparation for the start of the new school year 2022-2023, and in the interest of integrating all efforts made by the Ministry, through all relevant bodies and bodies affiliated with it, as well as the educational directorates, including: Working to create an appropriate, good, safe, and healthy environment for our students, along with the teachers, in the various stages and types of pre-university education in all schools, during the course of the educational process; In order to achieve a disciplined and safe new school year.
The minister reviewed the features of the new academic year, which include: integrating technology and activities of all kinds into the educational process, explaining that educational channels "Our School (1, 2, 3)" will be employed in the educational process, at various levels of education, by allocating one viewing period - The period is equivalent to two classes - to present the educational material, through (the smart board, data show, or computers) for more than one class in the same period to present the lesson, with the presence of the distinguished elements of teachers in the school accompanied by the students, and the rest of the quorum is allocated to the lessons of the subject; To discuss the watched content, make the scientific material available - through the technology development officer - and schedule the broadcast of educational content on those channels for students; to enable them to follow it at home, and sufficient time will be provided; To practice activities of all kinds of sports, cultural, artistic, scientific, and technological, starting from the fourth grade of primary school, to the third grade of secondary general in official and official schools of languages, with the participation of the general managers of the development of activities, and then contribute to the discovery and care of talented, adding, that This will be implemented in four stages with a percentage of no less than 25% of the management schools for each stage.
Dr. Reda Hegazy also stressed that the development of education is the responsibility of the state, and the plan to develop the educational process will be completed in line with the directives of the political leadership and the state's strategic plan.
The minister added that the educational curricula will not be affected, and that the development of the sixth grade curricula will be completed in accordance with the new system, with the same general framework of the curricula, as well as continuing to prepare the general framework for the preparatory curricula.
The minister revealed the controls and mechanisms for implementing the sports day in schools on a weekly basis, and another for activities and reciprocally to increase the level of students’ connection with schools, in implementation of the initiative of the President of the Republic to raise the level of physical fitness for school students, as a full day will be set for practicing activities for each class separately, without Impact on the curriculum distribution plan.
The minister pointed out that a guide to exam specifications will be made available to students and teachers in high school, and teachers will be trained on the examination system, with a study of the possibility of adding a short essay part to exam questions, in addition to presenting new exam models for students to be trained on during the school year.
During the meeting, the amendment of the rules for applying to perform the examination for the completion of the general secondary school certificate in the Egyptian educational mission in the Republic of Sudan for the academic year 2022/2023 was discussed, and the following conditions were set: The student must have obtained the first and second general secondary grades from the Egyptian educational mission schools in Sudan as a regular student, And that the student is one of the children of workers in Egyptian government missions in Sudan (only on loan), and it is required to reside in the State of Sudan from the beginning of the loaned travel (father/mother) until the date of the exam, and the abolition of the so-called home student in the mission, and for the children of the Egyptian community residing in the State of Sudan without workers The Egyptian government missions and those who do not wish to study in the mission schools have the right to apply to the system of our children abroad from the first grades to the second grade of secondary school.
It was also approved to amend the system of study on the system of our children abroad to become two semesters instead of one semester, similar to the students of the schools of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
