Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with directors of educational departments in Suez Governorate; with the aim of listening to their vision and suggestions on ways to develop performance in educational departments, in preparation for the academic year 2024/2025.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister praised the teachers of education and their experience and talent in teaching and the training they receive that targets their professional development, stressing the Ministry's keenness to employ school teachers as a priority to fill the deficit in the number of teachers, as well as employing teachers by the hour from teachers referred to retirement, in addition to employing teachers by the hour who have obtained an educational qualification.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif reviewed the mechanisms that were announced as solutions to the problem of student density, and the commitment to implement the appropriate ones according to the nature of each educational administration, stressing the accuracy and correctness of the data provided by the directors of the administrations regarding the densities of classes.

The Minister also reviewed the mechanisms for implementing reinforcement groups in schools, stressing the need to start implementing them before the start of the school year, and the need for the teacher to receive an immediate rewarding wage, and to provide the appropriate procedures and mechanisms for the comfort of the teacher and the student, explaining that these groups are held under the supervision of the Ministry and include the most efficient teachers.

In this context, the Minister discussed with the attendees the appropriate mechanisms for implementing reinforcement groups within schools through school principals, directing each educational administration to develop a comprehensive proposed plan to activate reinforcement groups and enroll students in them.

The Minister explained that each administration director implements solutions that suit his administration, stressing the need for students to attend school, especially in transfer years, and for the school principal to follow up on attendance rates, stressing in this context that the Ministry has taken many measures that work to attract students to school, and to care about instilling values ​​in our students.

The Minister indicated that, during the coming period, periodic meetings will be held with school principals in the governorates, and these meetings will begin in Cairo Governorate to discuss the school administration's solution to any urgent problems, stressing the speedy completion of preparing school schedules.

In his speech, Major General Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, pointed out the importance of achieving quality education, whether general or technical education, within the framework of achieving Egypt's Vision 2030, stressing the governorate's readiness to provide all means of support to the Ministry of Education in its decisions to face challenges and advance the educational system.

During the meeting, the attendees praised the Minister's decisions that contribute to solving the problem of the shortage in the number of teachers, and they also praised the solutions that work to solve the problem of student density, as well as the application of the evaluation system for transfer class students, which contributes to the discipline of the educational process in schools. This was attended by Ms. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and Agreements and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Minister's Office Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Attia, Head of the Central Administration for Education with Expenses, and Mr. Yasser Mahmoud Amara, Director of the Suez Education Directorate.
