"Education" launches a media campaign under the title (Technical education is the future of Egypt))

Within the framework of the state’s interest in developing the technical education system during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education is launching a media campaign under the title (Technical Education is the Future of Egypt), to highlight the Ministry’s efforts to improve technical education during the next academic year, which will begin by applying the methodology Merits in 850 technical schools starting next September.
The campaign includes implementing a number of activities during the coming period, to educate parents and students about the importance of technical education, and to hold direct meetings with them in various governorates of the Republic to change the mental image of technical education in Egypt, for which many measures and steps have been taken to correct the course of technical education during the coming period.
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, stressed that technical education is of exceptional importance on the part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, by directing the establishment of more applied technology schools in industrial and investment disciplines. In the hope of settling major industries, feeding companies, factories, and the governmental and private sectors with Egyptian labor, so that the Egyptian market becomes open to Egyptian youth trained to use the latest technology and capable of creativity to achieve the 2030 vision of sustainable development.

 

Shawky added that technical education plays a major role in rehabilitating a large number of young people and providing them with the skills and capabilities that allow them to meet the needs of the labor market by preparing graduates with high technical skills and able to deal with modern technology.

 

Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, said that developing technical education is an investment in human capital to ensure a prosperous future for economic development plans, explaining that the ministry seeks to launch more applied technology schools in various economic and service fields, with new specializations that address The professions of the future, in order to provide the opportunity for a larger number of students to join these schools, which represent the schools of advanced technical education with different specializations.

 

Mujahid added that we seek to achieve a better future for our students by transforming the technical education and vocational training system into a comprehensive high-quality education, and providing lifelong learning opportunities in accordance with international quality standards. Competition for the labor market, in addition to providing scholarships for outstanding students for practical training abroad.

 

Dr. Mohamed Emara, Head of the Technical Education Sector at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, said that developed curricula according to the merits methodology will be applied in 850 technical schools starting next September, noting that we will finish developing all academic programs and implementing them in all technical schools by September 2024.

 


Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, and Director of the Operation and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, said that we have begun to change the idea of ​​technical education among parents through many measures, as technical education has become an effective role in supporting the industry and advancing the economy, pointing out that Technology schools aim to meet the needs of the labor market and help the student to study the field he desires.
