The Minister of Education reviews the evaluation of the procedures and mechanisms implemented in schools
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held an extensive meeting with more than 2,700 school principals across the governorates of the Republic, to follow up and evaluate the procedures and mechanisms implemented in schools to ensure discipline in the school year, as well as discuss some proposals to improve the quality of the educational process.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif praised the extraordinary efforts made by school principals and teachers in all governorates of the Republic, stressing their success in facing the challenge of classroom density and filling the teacher deficit, which resulted in students attending various schools across the Republic at a rate of no less than 85%. He also referred to the efforts of teachers since the beginning of the school year, which he described as "amazing" in overcoming the obstacles facing the educational process, thanking them and appreciating their efforts and mastery of work during the past period on the ground and solving problems that have been ongoing for more than 30 years.
The Minister said that Egypt's teachers are great and deserve appreciation and work hard for the future of Egypt's children.
The Minister explained that this is the second meeting with school principals, noting that periodic meetings will be held to follow up and evaluate the mechanisms and decisions regulating the educational process and discuss all the obstacles they face in the field on the ground.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed the need to achieve quality education inside classrooms, discipline inside schools as a top priority for the Ministry, how to deal with parents and students, and how to solve the problems facing the educational process inside the school such as the problem of literacy, irregular attendance of some students, and applying weekly assessments regularly and accurately to achieve the targeted learning outcomes and continuous follow-up of students' academic level.
The Minister also stressed the need for continuous follow-up of class notebooks, homework and activities, stressing the need to set grades for students with transparency and fairness.
The Minister also touched on the educational incentive and school discipline regulations, stressing their firm implementation, which gives the school principal methods of motivation and implementation mechanisms decisively and firmly to solve the problems he faces inside the school to achieve discipline.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of the mechanisms for schools to hold periodic meetings on specific days with parents throughout the school year to follow up on their children's academic level and discuss any problems related to students.
The meeting also reviewed the ministry's efforts to improve the economic conditions of teachers, as Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed the need to make every effort with various relevant parties to improve the conditions of teachers.
The minister also confirmed that the ministry is working to develop appropriate mechanisms in the coming period to provide cleaning and security workers in schools.
The meeting witnessed a lengthy discussion during which the minister listened to the various obstacles facing school principals since the beginning of the school year and proposed appropriate solutions for them.
For their part, school principals praised the efforts and mechanisms that have been implemented to ensure discipline in the educational process in schools, and they also appreciated the continuous periodic meetings that the minister is keen to hold with various parties in the educational system to raise problems and challenges and ways to solve them with realistic mechanisms.
