The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the opening of online applications for the STEM Schools and the Ain Shams High School for Excellence on the Ministry's official website until July 31, 2025, via the following link:

The Ministry clarified that the admission tests for the STEM Schools will be held from Saturday, August 16, to Tuesday, August 19, 2025, while the tests for the Ain Shams School for Excellence will be held from Wednesday, August 20, 2025, to Thursday, August 21, 2025, for students who meet the admission requirements for each school.

The Ministry indicated that the admission requirements for each school are as follows:

First: General Requirements:
- The student must be of Egyptian nationality.
- The student must not be older than 18 years of age on October 1, 2025.
- The student must have obtained a certificate of completion of primary education, first term, in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Second: Special Requirements:
Applicants for admission to the STEM Schools for Excellence must meet the following conditions:

- The student's total score must be 274.5 or higher, equivalent to 98% of the total score only. The student is not required to obtain the final grade in any of the prescribed subjects.

- The student's total score must be 266 or higher, equivalent to 95% of the total score only. In this case, the student must obtain the final grade in at least one of the three subjects (English, Mathematics, and Science).

For students wishing to apply to the Ain Shams School for the Gifted:

- The student's total score on the Basic Education Completion Certificate Examination must not be less than 252 points or higher (90%) for male students wishing to enroll in the Ain Shams Secondary School for the Gifted.

The Ministry clarifies that for students who have registered online for the application form on the Ministry's website and whose data has been saved, the application form must be printed immediately after registration. The guardian must sign it and submit it to the Student Affairs and Examinations Department at the student's educational administration, along with the following documents:

* Two personal photos of the student
* A certified copy of the preparatory certificate or a certified success statement with grades
* A copy of the birth certificate
* A receipt for payment of fees

For those who were not able to register online and met the admission requirements for these schools, they must submit their documents manually to the General Administration of Examinations during the electronic application period. These are the following categories:

* Students of our children abroad and students with non-equivalent certificates who took a placement test. * Students who have received sports incentive scores and meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to apply.
* Students whose scores have increased following the results of preparatory school grievances and who now meet the eligibility requirements but were unable to register online.
* Students who have obtained a patent and have been issued a patent certificate accredited by the Academy of Scientific Research.
* Students who have obtained a certificate equivalent to the Egyptian curriculum or who have obtained a certificate from international schools in Egypt, schools whose curricula have been accredited by the Ministry, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
* Students from Al-Azhar institutes who have obtained their preparatory school certificate this year.

It is worth noting that only Egyptian students who meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to apply and submit their application documents to these schools. Students will be notified of their seating number and the date and location of the exam through the Ministry's official website.
