The Minister of "Education" meets the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States to develop a vision for the establishment of the Council of Arab Ministers responsible for education affairs
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General for the Social Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States; To envision the establishment of the Council of Arab Ministers responsible for education affairs.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, Dr. Hanim Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations, and from the League of Arab States, Minister Plenipotentiary Doaa Khalifa, Director of the Education and Scientific Research Department of the League of Arab States.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Tarek Shawky expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the League of Arab States to contribute to the implementation of goals in the Arab region, especially in the field of education development.
The Minister of Education and Technical Education reviewed, during the meeting, aspects of the Egyptian state’s national project for the development of education, which aims to prepare a new vision for the educational community as a whole, so that the student becomes more interested in learning and innovation, pointing out that the Ministry is working hard to develop education curricula to meet the increasing requirements of the labor market, whether At the local or international level, as well as promoting and developing skills among young people.
The Minister of Education indicated that, in conjunction with the development of curricula, comprehensive rehabilitation and training programs for teachers are also being worked on to teach the new curricula.
On technical education, Dr. Tarek Shawky stressed that the future of technical education will be different, as the ministry is working to attract more students, by linking the entire technical education to the Egyptian, Arab and global labor market, and creating new specializations such as artificial intelligence, jewelry, programming and port work, to meet the needs of the Egyptian market. the job.
For her part, Ambassador Haifa Abu-Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs at the League of Arab States, praised Egypt's current efforts to develop education, saying: "The experience of developing education in Egypt has become inspiring for a number of Arab countries, and there is a tendency to enhance cooperation between countries. She explained that the decision to establish the Council of Arab Ministers responsible for education affairs will contribute to meeting the current and future needs of Arab generations in a manner that guarantees them a fertile educational infrastructure, based on the fact that education is the right of all.
