The Minister of Education meets with the directors of educational directorates to follow up on the regularity of the educational process
Yesterday evening, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with the directors of educational directorates in the various governorates and educational leaders. To discuss a number of important points that will achieve the discipline of the educational process.
The minister started the meeting by congratulating the new leaders, wishing them every success in their tasks determined by the new organizational structure of the ministry, and their effective contribution to the development of the educational process in Egypt.
Dr. Reda Hijazi stressed adherence to the periodic book for following up on daily absences and discipline the progress of the study to ensure the smooth conduct of the educational process in the various stages of education and emphasizing the activation of the electronic registration of absences weekly for all educational stages, especially the absence of preparatory and high school students, in addition to activating the schedule of classes scheduled for teachers of the third grades. Secondary and third preparatory schools, stressing the importance of attracting students to the school to benefit from the educational process.
The minister emphasized the activation of the communication and support unit for teachers in the educational directorates, within the framework of the ministry’s interest in teachers and the importance of their inherent role in developing the education system, directing interest in communicating with all teachers in the educational directorates to receive any complaints of their own, and to study and discuss these complaints with the aim of solving them and removing the obstacles and difficulties facing teachers. Studying and discussing any proposals submitted by teachers to support and develop the educational process.
As for the exams for the first and second secondary grades, the minister indicated that the exams will be electronic at the level of the educational administration after preparing the question banks, according to the specifications set by the National Center for Examinations and the Central Administration for Secondary Education, as the exam paper includes multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and the return of short essay questions. Short Essay by not more than 15% according to the nature of each subject.
The minister emphasized that with regard to the general secondary grade exams, the first mentors in all disciplines will be trained on the formulation of training vocabulary and teaching practices according to each specification and on the mechanism of setting questions under the supervision of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development and the National Center for Examinations, provided that the general directors of material development confirm that The questions come within the framework of the prescribed curriculum for each subject.
With regard to integrating technology into the academic program, the Minister directed the application of the second phase of the 25% rate of viewing periods in schools nationwide, and the practice of activities of all kinds, sports, cultural and artistic. This contributes to discovering and nurturing talented people in cooperation with the Ministries of Youth, Sports and Culture.
The minister also directed the organization of trips for students to national projects. To introduce them to what has been achieved on the ground of these projects, as well as to develop the spirit of loyalty and belonging among students, self-learning capabilities, general culture and knowledge of current events at all levels, in addition to enriching students' information through research and direct access.
The minister pointed out that interest in reading and writing among students is our top priority, stressing that the ministry is interested in teaching children Arabic reading and writing with high quality, so that they can learn other sciences.
The minister stated that the ministry is seeking to expand the establishment of Egyptian-Japanese schools, Egyptian Nile schools, and schools of applied technology at the governorate level, in accordance with presidential assignments that were issued recently during the economic conference, exhibition and industrial forum, noting that there is great approval for the establishment of schools of applied technology, as There are now 43 schools, and we aim to expand the establishment of these schools in partnership with investors and the private sector.
