The Minister of Education discusses with the French Ambassador in Cairo ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of education development
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received today Marc Baretti, the French Ambassador in Cairo and his accompanying delegation; To discuss aspects of joint cooperation in the field of education development.
Dr. Tarek Shawky expressed his happiness with the cooperation with the French government, and its keenness to provide all aspects of support for Egyptian education, stressing the existence of many future cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
The minister pointed out that relations between Egypt and France have witnessed a great development in recent years, as a reflection of the distinguished relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of cooperation and educational exchange and the promotion of the French language in the education sector.
For his part, Mark Baretti praised the strategic relations between Egypt and France, saying that the Egyptian civilization extends throughout history, stressing the importance of Egypt's leading role in leading the region and maintaining its stability, and its steady progress towards the development of education, and the great reforms that have been achieved in this field.
The French ambassador in Cairo stressed the importance his country attaches to providing all aspects of support to the Egyptian Ministry of Education. To develop the French language that is taught in schools to raise the level of students in the language; To match the international language quality level through specialized experts.
The meeting witnessed a review of joint projects between the two sides, including: the project to support and develop curricula and educational materials in Egyptian public schools, which is carried out in cooperation between the Ministry and the French Embassy in Egypt, planning teaching activities, developing educational tools, training French language teachers and raising their linguistic and educational competencies. And completing cooperation in translating the new curricula into the French language, in addition to providing more content and digital educational materials in French targeting students, teachers and parents and making them available on the Knowledge Bank, the various learning resources offered by the Ministry, and the establishment of new French schools in Egypt with an emphasis on preserving the Egyptian identity .
The two sides also discussed the pivotal role that technical education plays in achieving development, and future cooperation in this field through partnership with French companies and the provision of skilled Egyptian manpower. To meet the needs of the labor market in France.
