The Minister of Education issues a decree regulating the contractual relationship between school owners and parents
Today, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Tariq Shawky, issued a periodic book for educational directorates on organizing the contractual relationship between school owners and parents.
Dr. Tariq Shawky's instructions stipulated that: The Ministry of Education and Technical Education is keen to perform its duty towards organizing the contractual relationship between parents of students and owners of private and international schools, within the framework of the laws and regulations governing this matter and in light of taking into account that students obtain their inherent constitutional right to education. Therefore, all parties to the educational process must adhere to the following:
1- The deadline for the payment of late amounts of tuition fees due to schools for the last academic year 2019/2020 is extended to a date no later than 11/15/2020, and in the event of non-compliance with the payment on this date, the student's name is removed from the school records and procedures for transferring and enrolling him in a government school are taken with commitment The guardian shall pay the sums due from him in favor of the school in which he was enrolled.
2- The deadline for paying the first installment due to private and international schools for the benefit of students' parents for the amounts due from them for the current academic year 2020/2021 is extended to a date no later than 11/30/2020, and in the event of non-compliance with the payment of the installment, the guardian will be notified after fifteen days have passed. From the aforementioned date, and in the event of non-payment, he is warned again after another fifteen days, and in the event of non-payment, students are transferred and enrolled in a government school in order to preserve their right to education, with the guardian's obligation to pay all the sums due from him in favor of the school in which he was enrolled.
3- Upon failure to pay the rest of the expenses for the current academic year - the second semester - the result is withheld, and procedures for transferring the student and enrolling him in a government school are taken, with the guardian's commitment to pay the sums owed by him in favor of the school in which he was enrolled.
4- The commitment of all schools not to be exposed, whether (actual or verbal) towards the student, taking into account the implementation of all the above without harming the psychological and moral state of students, taking into account the need for him to enjoy all the legal rights associated with his right to education.
5- All workers in the educational departments and directorates and those concerned with implementing the above must adhere to quickly initiate the implementation of what was mentioned in the previous clauses, and in the event of laxity or delay in implementation, all legal accountability measures are taken against them.
