Today, Saturday, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the closing ceremony of the “She Leads” program, which was organized by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. To celebrate the success of 300 businesswomen who are technical education students in Egypt, as the program aims to support technical education students by developing their skills and ideas and turning them into stable sources of income, through modern trainings designed to develop their personal and practical skills. .

This came in the presence of Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, Representative Ahmed Fathi, Executive Director of the "Young Leaders" Foundation, Dr. Maged Othman, former Minister of Communications, and Ambassador Christian Berger, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Delegation of the European Union to Egypt, and MP Amira Al-Adly, a member of the House of Representatives, to coordinate youth parties and politicians. Mohamed Ismail, a member of the House of Representatives for Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians, Dr. Moawiya Al-Saqly, Commercial Managing Director of Lofa Bank Egypt, Dr. Haitham Al-Saqly, General Manager of Merck Egypt Pharmaceutical Company, and representatives of the sponsors of the program, in addition to the presence of elite leaders of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Reda Hijazi expressed his happiness at the honorable presence and said to the participating students: You are ambassadors of technical education, and ambassadors of changing the mental image of technical education, praising what he saw today of. The ideas and projects of the students that express them and highlight their abilities, wishing them more achievement. of success.

The minister stressed that the industrial revolution and digital transformation have all changed the form and specifications of future jobs, and therefore it was necessary to prepare education for this matter, indicating that entrepreneurship is one of the basic requirements, and the Future Youth Foundation is cooperating with it. The ministry is in achieving the vision of technical education, and this is evident from what we saw today, the best evidence of this alliance.

The minister said that education is a societal issue and not only a ministry issue, indicating that with these partnerships with the Ministry of Education, we can achieve everything we aim for in terms of developing technical education.

The minister indicated that the ministry reviewed all school curricula, to ensure that they included the concepts of equality and non-discrimination, in cooperation with the National Council for Women and civil society sectors.

The minister also referred to the renewal of the cooperation protocol with the Young Leaders Foundation, in December 2020, as an essential step to support and develop the skills of our girls, students of technical education, in cooperation with the National Council for Women headed by Dr. Maya Morsi, Youth Leaders Foundation, and a group of supporting institutions. Raising the abilities and skills of female students of technical education through a deliberate plan to be developed in a timely manner, in order to achieve more successes in a way that helps develop the capabilities of this category of female students. Keep up with working life and raise its ability to compete and face the labor market.

The minister emphasized that we aim for the student to have the skills and competencies that enable him to enter the labor market and compete, indicating that the state attaches great importance to technical education, which has a major role in economic development and the ministry. He attaches utmost importance to taking positive steps to develop education in Egypt, within the framework of the Ministry's adoption of an ambitious plan to develop general and technical education with all its components, pointing out that the Ministry did not hesitate to make more efforts to achieve this. More successes to reach the desired goal, which is to develop education and equip a new generation of qualified students through training and scientific and intellectual equipment.

The minister indicated that technical education is witnessing tremendous development, through technology schools, which now number 52, in partnership with business owners and factories. Employer involvement

For her part, Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, expressed her happiness at the beginning of her speech. She thanked Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education, for encouraging this program and keenness to develop technical education for the advancement of society. She also extended her sincere greetings and thanks to the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. For her efforts in this program, she also thanked all the technical education schools and teachers who participated in it. She also thanked the European Union ambassador for the great contribution to women's programs in Egypt.

She emphasized that technical education is part of the projects of the Young Leaders Foundation, noting that we have more than one partnership program with the Foundation, thanking them.

Dr. Maya Morsi also indicated that the students of the "She Leads" program will lead the future, stressing that this program is a great opportunity for the students, and thanking parents for encouraging their daughters to enroll in technical education schools and participate in the program.

The President of the National Council for Women talked about the expansion of the number of centers in the National Council for Women to reach the largest number, in partnership with the private sector and civil society, pointing out that the Youth Leaders Foundation used the tied ta’a on all its products, as a registered trademark of the National Council for Women.

For his part, Representative Ahmed Fathi, Executive Director of the Youth Leaders Foundation, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, for his support in hosting the Youth Leaders Foundation program for the second year.

MP Ahmed Fathi indicated that the goal of "She Leads" since the beginning of the preparation of the program is to change the stereotypical view of the technical education climate in Egypt, and how to support and invest in technical education students to become entrepreneurs, indicating that the program received a lot of support from the Ministry of Education. Technical, as well as the National Council for Women headed by Dr. Maya Morsi, not only in the scope of entrepreneurship but also in holding training courses to raise awareness of violence against women and how to communicate with the council, in addition to the support of Telecom Egypt (WE) for the program because of its belief in the Young Leaders Foundation and investment in it.

Representative Ahmed Fathi also valued the role of the Ministry of Education in bringing the program to Upper Egypt, stressing that the institution's success in graduating technical education pioneers was supported by the Ministry of Education and sponsoring companies.

In his speech, Ambassador Christian Berger, Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, expressed his happiness at participating for the second year in the closing ceremony of the “She Leads” initiative, pointing out that the participation of young people, especially girls, makes a difference in their societies, making them more competitive and contributing to economic growth and sustainable development. Education and skills development are essential factors, and education programs and girls' participation lead to outstanding results, as girls can develop their knowledge through these programs, and give them the opportunity to become pioneers in various skills, which contributes to economic growth as a whole.

Ambassador Christian Berger affirmed the European Union's support for Egypt in the field of education and skills development, presenting examples of support, including the promotion of technical education and vocational training, noting that the European Union is interested in supporting and empowering girls in all fields by financing new projects that support technical education, vocational training and financial inclusion. He thanked the Ministry of Education for its commitment to making a difference in the future of these girls and contributing to achieving sustainable development.

In his speech, Dr. Maged Othman expressed his happiness to participate in this celebration, which represents the participation of the government sector with the private sector to accomplish this work, wishing the continuation of this cooperation between all participating parties, and its spread in other applications.

For her part, Representative Amira Al-Adly, a member of the House of Representatives for the Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians, expressed her happiness with the presence of these distinguished female students as a glimmer of hope to solve the problems of technical education, saying that through partnership with civil society and the private sector we can achieve a better future in entrepreneurship and project establishment, and change the outlook Standard for technical education.

The ceremony included the presentation of the students’ projects through special pavilions for display, where Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, made an inspection tour of all the projects of the “She Leads” program, and listened to the explanations of the students, and the minister praised them, noting that The students presented innovative projects that serve the community.

During the celebration, an introductory film about the "She Leads" program's journey was shown, and a discussion session was held with the graduate students of the program, followed by announcing and honoring the winning teams. In the field of fashion and arts, the cracelet team won the first place, and the Lamsa Khait team won the second place.
