"Education" celebrates the conclusion of the activities of the Theater Arts Festival for school students in its fourth session

Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the closing ceremony of the fourth edition of the Theater Arts Festival for school students at all educational levels nationwide, as part of the presidential initiative "A Dignified Life", at Sayed Darwish Theater at the Academy of Dramatic Arts.
In his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness to participate in the closing ceremony of the Theater Arts Festival, through the student activities team at the Ministry, noting that this event represents a milestone in the interest in the arts, and is the first step on the path of education, awareness, and proper guidance to the people of this country. .
The minister explained that this festival comes to reveal the creative people of our students in the artistic and cultural fields, and to create a new generation that possesses communication skills, in addition to the skills of refined artistic taste, stressing the importance of investing in the human element, which is the direction of the state with all its institutions, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership. Represented by His Excellency President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Ministry seeks to take care of and develop school activities of all kinds.
Hegazy said that Egyptian society at the current stage needs everything that enriches cultural life. To change some misconceptions, consolidate the principles of citizenship and belonging among the people of this country, and catch up with global development in all scientific, cultural, artistic, social, literary and other fields; Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education attaches great importance to educational activities.
He continued: "Receiving knowledge and practicing school activities within educational institutions are two essential factors in building the desired personality," adding that school theater is a mainstay of school activity; Because of its great impact in developing the talents of school students, and raising their moral capabilities.
He pointed out that one of the main roles of the ministry for the new school year is the return of students to school to become the natural place for teaching, learning and socialization, and the ministry is currently working on changing the study program, and giving more space to practice activities to sort out the talented, as the practice of arts in all its forms creates a general taste, and values Aesthetic, as well as students feeling the joy of learning, through dramatizing the curricula, and simplifying the understanding of the study materials.
For her part, Ms. Elham Ibrahim, Head of the Services and Activities Sector, confirmed that, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Services and Activities Sector is working to discover and nurture talented people within schools in all governorates, noting that we adhere to presenting the lofty message to the school theater, which represents the reality of Egyptian society, And discussing and addressing problems, describing the Egyptian reality we live in and the gains that the Egyptian society has achieved in the recent period, through the operetta presented by the students on the stage within the festival, which depicts the concept of patriotism and belonging.
For her part, Dr. Eman Hassan, Head of the Central Department of Activities, said that the Theater Arts Festival for School Students, which we are witnessing today in its fourth session, was attended by (12,500) male and female students in the initial qualifications at the level of (25) educational directorates, reaching the final qualifiers (1250) male and female students who have Talent and creativity are what made us always seek to take care of them and develop them culturally and artistically.
The ceremony included a promo of the winning theatrical performances, and the operetta (People of Egypt). Ms. Elham Ibrahim, Head of Services and Activities Sector, presented the festival shield to Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education, Ministry leaders, artists and members of the jury.
At the end of the ceremony, the contestants were honored, where he won the Best Music and Singing Award for Al-Resala Private School in North Sinai Governorate, the Best Heritage Award for Al-Rashidah Primary School in the New Valley Governorate, and the Best Heritage Award for the Hotel Secondary School in the Red Sea Governorate, and the Best Heritage Award for Horizon Language School in the Governorate Al-Sharqiya, as well as the best actor Iyad Muhammad Al-Samanoudi won the Port Said Experimental School in Port Said Governorate, the best actress Basma Muhammad Ali won the Buhaira Secondary Hotel School for Girls in Beheira Governorate, the best production by Sherine Hamdy Al-Zahra Private School in Minya Governorate, and the Excellence Award won by the Queen School for Special Needs in the governorate Giza.
As for the winning educational directorates: The Directorate of Education in Dakahlia, Delta Modern Language School for the work (women), won the first place equally with the Directorate of Minya at Al-Zahraa Private School 2 for the work (Watan’s Achievements), and the Gharbia Governorate won the second place at Queen of Peace School for the work (Watan’s Achievements). The work of (Bab El-Jannah), and the Alexandria Directorate at Al-Nasr College for Girls School won the third place for the work (Queen of Sheba), and Ismailia Governorate won the third place with her in the Franciscan Sisters School for the work (Simon and Gabbana the Beautiful), and the Sohag Directorate at Noor Al-Maaref School won the fourth place. The private school for the work (The New Dawn), and the fifth place was won by the Aswan Directorate at Al-Salam Academic Private School for the work (a lifeboat).
