The Minister of Education Signs a Cooperation Protocol with Casio Middle East)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, signed a cooperation protocol with Casio Middle East today on the sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9).

The cooperation protocol aims to implement an integrated project to train middle school mathematics teachers on a guide to using calculator applications within mathematics curricula. This will contribute to developing the educational process and raising the efficiency of teachers and students in this field.

In this context, the Minister emphasized that signing the cooperation protocol with Casio Middle East is a pivotal step in developing middle school mathematics curricula, as it contributes to enhancing teachers' capabilities to employ modern educational tools and calculator applications in the educational process, thus preparing students to meet the requirements of the 21st century. He pointed out that this protocol reflects the Ministry's commitment to building pioneering international partnerships that contribute to improving the quality of Egyptian education.

The protocol includes an agreement to launch a training project, beginning with an initial phase to train middle school mathematics teachers on the methodology of teaching mathematics using calculator applications.

The protocol explains that the program aims to train teachers in participating schools to effectively employ applications that serve the curriculum, helping students acquire 21st-century skills such as logical analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

The protocol also includes an integrated program that begins with teacher training, continues with a follow-up program through mentors, and concludes with a study of the implementation results, with the goal of gradually disseminating the experience on a broader and more optimal scale. The project also includes the preparation of a comprehensive guide for the system, including best practices and standards that ensure the sustainable use of the experience.

It is worth noting that this cooperation complements a successful partnership between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and Casio Middle East, which began in 2018 with training programs for mathematics teachers nationwide, contributing to developing their capabilities and enhancing interactive teaching methods.
