Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with several members of the Japanese Parliament from the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Africa to discuss ways to strengthen partnerships in various education fields.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized Egypt's commitment to expanding various fields of education, including general, technical, and special needs education. This will provide diverse models that strengthen partnerships with Japan and open broader horizons for joint cooperation, particularly in terms of exchanging expertise and capacity building.

The Minister of Education also gave a detailed presentation on the mechanism for implementing Japanese Tokkatsu activities in Egyptian-Japanese schools, which have contributed to developing students' personalities and enhancing their life skills.

The Minister also reviewed the Applied Technology Schools (ATS) model, describing it as an advanced and successful model that links education to the labor market and prepares graduates with specialized skills.

For their part, the members of the Japanese Parliament expressed their great happiness with the Egyptian-Japanese schools project, emphasizing that the success of this experience represents a symbol of the strong friendship between the two countries. They emphasized that Egypt is one of the civilizations that is particularly valued by Japanese society, as Egyptian civilization is at the forefront of what students study in history.

They also explained that many of them had previously visited Egypt on tours and expressed their appreciation for the depth of Egyptian civilization they had witnessed during those visits.

The members of the Japanese Parliament affirmed their desire to support proposals for partnerships with the private sector in the field of education, as a means of spreading community awareness of the importance of these projects and ensuring their sustainability.

The meeting was attended from the Japanese side by Mr. Nishimura Yasutoshi, Mr. Hitoshi Kikawada, Mr. Daisuke Kajihara, and Mr. Keisuke Yamamoto, members of the Japanese Parliament.

The Egyptian side was also represented by Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr, Egypt's Ambassador to Japan, members of the Egyptian Embassy in Tokyo, Dr. Hanem Ahmed, the Minister's Advisor for International Cooperation and Agreements, and Ms. Nevin Hamouda, the Minister's Advisor for Strategic Relations and Supervisor of Egyptian-Japanese Schools.
