Minister of Education Delivers Lecture at Japan University of Economics)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, delivered a lecture today at Nihon Keizai University of Economics in Tokyo, Japan, on the future of digital education. The lecture was part of the "Data Science in the Era of Digital Transformation (DX)" seminar.

During the lecture, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif reviewed Egypt's vision for digital transformation and prospects for cooperation with Japan in this regard, emphasizing that digital technology represents a key tool for expanding learning opportunities and overcoming geographical and economic disparities.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif noted that the Egyptian government has distributed free tablets to secondary school students, is working to improve the quality of digital content, and is expanding the integration of artificial intelligence applications into education and data analysis. He emphasized that the primary goal is not to replace teachers with technology, but rather to enable them to employ AI tools to serve students' futures.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of building teachers' capacities through specialized training programs, encouraging them to engage in self-learning, and sharing global expertise. He noted that today's children possess advanced digital skills, which necessitates the development of comprehensive and integrated education strategies.

At the conclusion of the lecture, the Minister answered participants' questions about current challenges and future prospects for developing digital education, emphasizing the Egyptian Ministry of Education's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Japan in the fields of educational technology and inclusive education.
