Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, visited the Al Suwaidi Technical Academy for Distinguished Technical Education and the Official Languages School in the 10th of Ramadan City, Sharkia Governorate, accompanied by Dr. And check on the regularity of the second semester.

Dr. Reda Hegazy was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Central Administration for Public Education, Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Head of the Operation and Management Unit of Applied Technology Schools, Major General Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Head of the Central Administration for Security, and Muhammad Fouad Al-Rashidi, Director of the Education Directorate in Sharkia.

During his inspection of the El Sewedy Technical Academy for Distinguished Technical Education, the minister confirmed that applied technology schools are a bright spot in Egyptian education, stressing the ministry's endeavor to expand this type of school.

He also stressed the importance of developing the technical education and vocational training sector, and its role in building the Egyptian industry, in line with the directives of the political leadership to pay attention to the development of all aspects of the technical education system, in accordance with international quality standards, and in a manner commensurate with the needs of the labor market, which contributes significantly to Increasing productivity and improving the level of the Egyptian economy to push the wheel of development and construction and improve the standard of living of citizens, indicating that there is a cooperation protocol that will be signed within days to export graduates of these schools to some countries abroad.

The minister inspected a class for students of dual education for people with special needs, the department of ready-made clothes, and listened to the teacher’s explanation and the extent of the students’ interaction with her, as he praised the students’ interaction and the extent of their response to explanation and communication, indicating that these students have many meanings, and the teacher has a role in arranging, knowing and understanding symbols for students.

In this regard, the minister indicated that the ministry is in the process of preparing guiding boards for the most used sign language symbols, accompanied by a QR code that shows the movement of the sign, and it will be circulated to all schools in the republic. To raise community awareness, spread the culture of sign language, and establish a means of communication with students of determination with hearing disabilities, adding that the ministry is working to build the capacity of teachers specializing in sign language, in agreement with the “Companions of the Capable of Different” initiative launched by the President of the Republic and in light of the interest The state provides all services provided to people with special needs.

In this context, the minister referred to the importance of the role of civil society organizations and their cooperation with the ministry in providing services for people of determination in schools.

The Minister also inspected one of the classes of the Programming Department, and held a dialogue with the students about their studies and work in addition to studying in this field. The Minister also watched a life skills class "teamwork" for students of the Epico Pharmaceutical Industries Department.

The minister praised the scientific and methodological level of the academy and the job opportunities it provides for students in factories and the private sector after benefiting from the curricula provided by it and related to the labor market.

For her part, Hanan El-Rehani, Secretary-General of the El-Sewedy Foundation and the Executive Director of the El-Sewedy Technical Academy, presented a detailed explanation of the academy’s vision to provide innovative technical education and vocational training in accordance with approved international standards, with the aim of developing the technical education and vocational training system, developing the workforce in Egypt and the region, and providing technical education programs. Innovative vocational training related to the needs of the local and international labor market, with a focus on skills, competencies, competencies, and personality building, and contributing to the provision of a practical training program in the specialized factories of the institution, and an employment stimulation program that ensures the ease of transition of learners from the stage of education to the labor market.

She explained that the number of students in the academy is 1,200 students, and the study lasts for three years, during which students receive a full scholarship.

After that, the minister went, during his visit, to the official language school affiliated with the Tenth of Ramadan Educational Administration, which consists of 45 classes, and the number of students in it is 291 students, where he inspected the kindergarten hall, and the students of the third grade of primary school participated in a lesson for Discovery, and the minister spoke with Students in the topic of the lesson, directing teachers to the need to simplify the information for students, in order to have a good understanding of the lessons, and ease of memorizing English terms.

The minister was keen to inspect a class for the third secondary grade during the Arabic language class, and listened to the explanation of the lesson. He also held a dialogue with the students and answered their inquiries regarding the mechanisms for correcting the exam answer sheets, as the minister reassured the students that the correction mechanisms will be done electronically without the intervention of any human element, according to the system. rubrics, to ensure fairness in correction and equal opportunities, and the questions will measure different levels of knowledge such as mental abilities and real learning outcomes, indicating that the ministry will provide a complete guiding form for the exam on the ministry's website that simulates the end-of-year exam with the answer form available.
