Based on the approval of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and what was stated in Ministerial Resolution No. (174) of 2017 regarding amending paragraph (5) of Article (422) of 2014, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education announces the approval of tuition rates for all types of private schools and schools that apply curricula of a special nature (international).
The Ministry directed the educational directorates to circulate this decision to the educational administrations to circulate the gradation of expenses for the academic year 2024/2025, noting that the same previously approved brackets apply to education expenses for the academic year 2023/2024 for private schools that apply curricula of a special nature (international) in the next academic year (2024/2025) according to the following: -
First: With regard to the education expenses brackets for schools that apply curricula of a special nature (international), the annual increase rate for schools whose expenses start from 30,000 pounds and are less than 50,000 pounds is 10%, while the annual increase rate for schools whose expenses start from 50,000 pounds and are less than 80,000 pounds is 8%, and 7% for schools whose expenses start from 80,000 pounds and are less than 120,000 pounds, and 6% for schools whose expenses start from 120,000 pounds and less than 200,000 pounds, and 5% for schools with fees starting from 200,000 pounds and above.
Second: As for the education expenses brackets for private schools (Arabic/languages), the annual increase rate for schools with expenses less than 5,000 pounds is 25%, 20% for schools with expenses starting from 5,000 pounds and less than 10,000 pounds, 15% for schools with expenses starting from 10,000 pounds and less than 15,000 pounds, 12% for schools with expenses starting from 15,000 pounds and less than 20,000 pounds, 10% for schools with expenses starting from 20,000 pounds and less than 25,000 pounds, 7% for schools with expenses starting from 25,000 pounds and less than 35,000 pounds, and 6% for schools with expenses starting from 35,000 pounds or more. The Ministry confirms that the increase in education expenses for the academic year 2024/2025 will be applied to the education expenses for the previous academic year 2023/2024 according to the previous brackets, with emphasis on not combining the increase decided by the bracket and the result of the financial research to settle the deficit in the education budget, as whichever is greater will be calculated. The Ministry stressed the financial and administrative guidance bodies in the educational administrations to quickly prepare expense bulletins to announce them in schools before the start of the academic year, in accordance with the above, and it is prohibited for any school to collect expenses more than those legally stipulated other than the brackets or re-evaluate expenses, and if it is proven that any school has violated this, legal measures will be taken against the school, which may include placing the school under financial and administrative supervision.
