The Ministry of Education and Technical Education held a meeting with the directors of educational directorates in all governorates of the Republic, through a video conference network; To follow up on pre-university education workers receiving the vaccine against the Corona virus, and to determine the updated rates, which include the numbers of workers receiving the two doses, workers receiving the first dose, those registered to receive doses and those who have not registered yet.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs confirmed that completing the vaccination against the Corona virus is at the top of the Egyptian government’s list of interest, noting that the ministry is targeting a new academic year in schools, and this depends on the rates of teachers receiving the vaccine, explaining that workers will not be allowed to enter the workplace. At the beginning of the school year, unless after receiving the vaccine, whether in public, private or international schools.
During the meeting, the updated ratios of the employee database were discussed, including those who received the two doses, the recipients of the first dose, those registered to receive doses, and those who did not.
Dr. Reda Hijazi thanked the educational directorates, which showed speed in moving and responding to the directives of the political leadership in this regard, and achieved high rates for workers who received the two doses, the recipients of the first dose, and those registered to receive the doses.
The Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs also directed the directors of educational directorates to follow up on educational departments with low rates of registration to receive the vaccine, and to take the necessary and immediate measures to speed up registration on the Ministry of Health and Population website in cooperation with members of the technology development team, and to overcome all obstacles to accomplish this work; And promptly providing the ministry with a report explaining the final position and the new percentages of receiving the vaccine, no later than Sunday, August 29.
