Minister of Education and Technical Education meets with the Head of the Digital Education Department at UNICEF)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with Mr. Frank Van Capelle, Head of the Digital Education Department at UNICEF, on the sidelines of his participation in the activities of the "Digital Learning Week 2024" conference in France.

During the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif praised the strong partnership with UNICEF, stressing the ministry's keenness to continue cooperation with the organization in a way that contributes significantly to achieving the goals of developing education, and contributes to providing high-quality education for every child in Egypt, in addition to improving the quality of digital education by allowing students to benefit from the huge digital platforms and resources provided by the ministry.

The Minister stressed the Ministry's keenness to enhance cooperation with UNICEF in enhancing digital skills in the primary stage, and the teachers' capacity building program that focuses on accelerating basic learning, building the capacities of specialists in preparing digital educational materials, and using artificial intelligence programs in producing these materials, stressing that the Ministry is keen to implement mechanisms that contribute to keeping pace with the graduate's global technological development and the digital revolution so that his specifications are suitable for the labor market and future jobs.

For his part, Mr. Frank Van Capelle, Head of the Digital Education Department at UNICEF, expressed his appreciation for the State of Egypt and its continuous efforts in reforming education, appreciating the cooperation between UNICEF and the Ministry of Education in many educational projects.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of the Ministry's plans towards digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence programs, and enhancing students' digital skills.
