The Minister of Education and the Governor of Minya inspect a number of schools
As part of his ongoing field visits to various governorates, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, accompanied by Major General Emad Ahmed Mahmoud Kadwani, Governor of Minya, today conducted an inspection tour of a number of schools in the village of Tuna al-Jabal in the governorate to monitor the regularity of the educational process and provide all means of support to ensure a distinguished educational system for students.
The Minister and the Governor began their tour by inspecting the "Martyr Mustafa Hani Abdel Hamid" Primary School in the village of Tuna al-Jabal, affiliated with the Mallawi Education Directorate, which serves 1,502 male and female students. The visit to the school came as part of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif's commitment to following up on the latest measures he directed to overcome any obstacles facing the school, including the provision of teachers for basic subjects and the replacement and renewal of school desks. The Minister also directed that painting and landscaping be carried out at the school.
During the tour, the Minister monitored the progress of studies in the classrooms, the regular attendance of students and teachers, the level of academic achievement, and the receipt of textbooks and assessment books. He directed that preparation books and assessment books be monitored and that discipline and seriousness be emphasized during the school day.
The Minister and the Governor also listened to the teachers' opinions on the implementation of the new curricula and assessment books. The Minister emphasized the Ministry's commitment to overcoming any difficulties that may hinder the regularity of studies and the discipline of the educational process.
As part of the tour, the Minister and the Governor inspected Tuna El-Gebel Secondary School, which has (394) students. They met with the teachers and monitored the level of academic achievement of students in the classrooms. The Minister and the Governor also monitored student attendance rates and the availability of teachers in all core subjects.
During his inspection of the first-year secondary school classes, the Minister held an open dialogue with the students about the importance of studying programming and artificial intelligence. He noted that the Ministry has utilized the Japanese "Kiryu" platform to teach the subject to students. Upon passing the test on the "Tofas" platform, students will receive an international certificate, which will provide them with diverse job opportunities. Furthermore, outstanding students will be able to work remotely with major Japanese companies.
The tour also included a visit to the "Tuna El-Gebel" Basic Education School, which has (460) male and female students. The Minister monitored the regularity of elementary school classes, emphasizing the importance of continuing to develop students' reading and writing skills, simplifying curricula, and conducting assessments on time.
During his visit to the three schools, the Minister directed the need for close monitoring of the educational process, providing all the schools' needs, and removing any obstacles that may hinder the performance of school principals. He noted that the Ministry will spare no effort in meeting the needs of students and teachers from the first day of the school year.
For his part, Major General Emad Ahmed Mahmoud Kadwani, Governor of Minya, affirmed the governorate's commitment to supporting the education system in every way possible and harnessing all the tools that contribute to developing the educational process in the governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
