"Education" holds a workshop on preparing training packages for teachers of the fourth grade of primary school
the Ministry of Education and Technical Education held a workshop; To prepare training packages targeting fourth grade teachers, according to the new Education System 2.0, the curriculum and the assessment method; This is within the framework of the Ministry's follow-up to the training of teachers and employees of the educational system, and in light of the continuous updating of training programs in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education for Teachers’ Affairs, Dr. Nawal Shalaby, Director of the Curriculum Development Center, Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Public Education Sector, and Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, Head of the Central Administration for Special Education Affairs and Supervisor of the Central Administration of Kindergarten and Basic Education, Dr. Mohamed Gad, Acting Director of the Professional Academy for Teachers, and General Managers of Curriculum Development, Ihab El Naghi, Director of the Training Department in Cairo, and a number of education leaders and experts.
Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized that training is a continuous journey that must be sustainable, and to complement the efforts being made in the fourth grade teacher training plan. The Ministry aims to provide training on the new curricula and courses, in a manner appropriate to the philosophy and content of these courses.
Dr. Reda Hegazy pointed out the ministry's keenness on the availability of training materials in all its forms, and the access of training packages to all departments and training units at the level of all schools, in cooperation with the first mentors; To train all teachers of the fourth grade of primary school.
The Deputy Minister directed the formation of work teams to prepare training packages (trainer’s guide, trainee’s guide, training material, presentations, pre and post test), comprising members from the Curriculum Development Center, the public education sector, the Professional Academy for Teachers, and general directors of curriculum development, in addition to various training departments; In order to reach the development of skills and creativity of teachers, and to develop ideas, approaches and mechanisms for implementation; To achieve sustainable professional development for fourth grade teachers on how to teach the new curricula.
The Deputy Minister added that training packages will be approved by the Professional Academy for Teachers, provided that the first mentors, in cooperation with the training departments and training units, will implement this training at the level of all educational departments, and the Professional Academy in its branches will follow up the implementation; To ensure the quality of training.
For her part, Dr. Nawal Shalaby said: The work is done in an institutional manner according to clear steps and directions in training, stressing that the Curriculum Development Center has clarified the philosophy of the new curricula and provided textbooks and training materials that have been implemented, noting that the fourth grade curricula are concerned with developing skills away from memorization. and indoctrination, and subjects such as skills development and information and communication technology were added to keep pace with current developments.
