"Education" honors the winning students in the World Handball Championship in Serbia 2021
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education organized a ceremony to honor the students who won the silver and bronze medals in the 2021 World Handball Championship, Serbia.
In the presence of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, on behalf of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman Al-Dawini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dr. Mohamed El-Amin, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation, and Major General Ahmed Nasser, President of the African Sports Confederation (OXA) and Dr. Eman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Activities and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Federation for School Sports.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, in a speech delivered on behalf of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, expressed his happiness today to honor our daughters and sons, members of the youth and youth national teams who won silver and bronze awards in the World Handball Championship that was held in Serbia, saying that What we are witnessing today is nothing but a reflection of the interest the Egyptian state and all its institutions attach to sports in general, and school sports in particular, within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to pay attention to and support physical education in schools and universities.
Dr. Reda Hegazy said that our meeting today stems from our firm belief in the importance of practicing sports, especially school sports, which play a prominent and effective role in building the student’s personality, through the development of his athletic abilities and talents, as well as its effective role in modifying and changing his behavior, in line with the values of society. This sincere belief in the importance of school sports is reflected in the political leadership's conscious interest in it. The President of the Republic emphasized that we need a program in which sport is an essential part of education; To preserve the health of our children, and this comes within the framework of his sovereignty’s interest in general in building the Egyptian person, and working to reformulate an integrated Egyptian personality.
Hegazy explained that receiving science and practicing sports activities within educational institutions are two essential factors in building the desired personality, that personality capable of dealing with the data of the knowledge society, and qualified to enter it strongly, so that our country will occupy its appropriate position on the international map, and its appropriate place on the Sports podiums. Numerous studies and scientific research have shown that students who are keen to participate in sports competitions have a higher ability to continue studying, achieve achievement, and reach the highest academic levels, and they have a greater chance of self-realization.
Hegazy addressed the students, saying, "Continue on the path of success, and work hard, as you are tomorrow's leaders and future champions, and maintain the honorable competition that highlights qualified sports competencies, and continue to achieve your hopes and aspirations to ascend the podiums in various sports events."
For his part, His Eminence Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al-Duwaini presented Al-Azhar’s congratulations to the winning students, stressing the upbringing of the body and soul together and the mind and heart together, pointing out that the responsibility of raising children with beautiful words, deeds and conditions is one of the most important duties that parents demand and that one of the biggest mistakes he commits Parents to abandon their role or fall short in it, calling on the competent institutions to pay attention to the upbringing and upbringing of our children, and we have confidence that the Egyptian family and institutions have a degree of awareness and capabilities that advance our children.
For his part, Dr. Amr Al-Haddad, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is keen to support school programs and projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, pointing out that the ministry has an integrated plan to support all bodies and youth centers to bring them to craft, to become One of the mechanisms for discovering sports talents.
In the same context, Dr. Mohamed El-Amin, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation, said that we are in a society in which the political leadership is interested in supporting sports, noting that there is coordination between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Youth and the Sports Federation of Handball to support our students and teach them honest competition because sports have ethics and behaviors and we strive All of us, that there should be an educational system to educate and support our children in sports.
For her part, Dr. Eman Hassan, Vice-President of the Egyptian Federation for School Sports, confirmed that Egypt is rich in many young talents that need care and guidance to shine in the sky of creativity, noting that this good land emerged from it innovators in various fields and achievements and successes continue under the auspices of the conscious leadership of our beloved Egypt. The President of the Republic, and in light of the permanent and fruitful cooperation and the vision of Dr. Tarek Shawky and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, to overcome obstacles and provide all means to support the talented, pointing out that it was our constant keenness to crown these efforts and exert effort and giving in order to achieve Egypt’s vision to bring out generations with sound thought, awareness and structure.
Dr. Eman Hassan explained that the Egyptian School Sports Federation always strives to make every effort to achieve the greatest benefit for our distinguished students, and that our ceremony today is to honor them in gratitude and appreciation for all the creative people who make an effort to raise the flag of Egypt high.
During the ceremony, a “No to Intolerance” segment was presented by the Student Activities Team at the Ministry of Education, and the head of the mission, supervisors and students who won the silver and bronze medals in the 2021 World Cup in Serbia were honored.
