Within the framework of enhancing the educational partnership between Egypt and Japan, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, today visited the headquarters of Yamaha Education Company, where he reviewed successful practices in the field of comprehensive education, and discussed ways of future cooperation in supporting music education and developing students' cognitive skills.

The Minister was accompanied during the visit by Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr, Egypt's Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Hani Hilal, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Partnership for Education, Ms. Nevin Hamouda, Advisor to the Minister for Strategic Relations and Supervisor of Egyptian-Japanese Schools, Dr. Hanem Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and Agreements, and Ms. Amira Awad, Coordinator of the Ministry for United Nations Organizations.

This visit comes within the framework of the efforts of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif to enhance international cooperation and benefit from global expertise in developing the Egyptian educational system, in a manner that keeps pace with the latest educational trends and contributes to building generations with advanced skills that are in line with the requirements of the era.

The Minister expressed his aspiration for future cooperation with Yamaha in providing a variety of integrated educational programs, especially in the field of music, supporting joint educational projects, and appreciating its contribution to developing music curricula and training teachers.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education pays great attention to educational activities and music, as it is keen to develop all aspects of students' personalities by supporting programs and initiatives that encourage innovation and creativity, such as artistic and musical activities, which contribute to enhancing students' mental and social abilities.

The visit began with a performance of the Egyptian national anthem by a Japanese student, in a gesture that reflects the depth of cultural relations between the two countries.

Mr. Atsushi Yamura, President and CEO of Yamaha, welcomed the Minister and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of this visit in enhancing educational cooperation between the two sides, and praising the growing partnership between Egypt and Japan in various educational fields.

He explained that the company devotes its efforts to making children happy by teaching them music, and that it has more than seventy years of experience in supporting music education in schools.

He also pointed out that Yamaha's programs are not limited to teaching playing only, but also contribute to developing children's cognitive skills. He also praised the efforts made by the Egyptian Ministry of Education to develop the educational process and benefit from successful international experiences.

During the meeting, the company's representatives reviewed their most prominent educational programs that are being successfully implemented in a number of countries, such as India, Colombia and Malaysia.

A presentation was also given on the cooperation program between Yamaha and Egyptian-Japanese schools, which includes providing specialized educational content and training programs for teachers.

At the end of the visit, the Japanese side presented a proposal to begin consultations to cooperate with the Egyptian Ministry of Education with the aim of integrating integrated programs for teaching music in public schools, which contributes to developing students' creative abilities and achieving an integrated educational experience.
