The Ministry of Education announces the winners of the National Young Innovator Competition for school students
Under the patronage of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education organized the activities of the “National Young Innovator Competition” for the three stages (primary, preparatory, and secondary) across the Republic for the academic year 2023/2024, which is organized by the General Union of School Students of the Republic under Slogan "Student Unions and Artificial Intelligence".
Ahmed Moussa, General Leader of the School Students Union, stated that the competition comes out of the Ministry’s keenness to prepare a generation capable of learning, innovation, creativity and scientific research in a way that contributes to achieving development goals and keeping pace with the challenges of the future, and within the framework of the Ministry’s vision to enhance creativity and creative thinking among students.
The Major General added that the competition aims to encourage ideas, innovations, and entrepreneurial skills among gifted students at all educational levels, motivate them to think creatively, provide new solutions that confront scientific and technical challenges, and train student researchers on scientific investigation methodology in research and thinking.
Ahmed Musa explained that students participate in this competition with ideas and projects in various fields that can be actually implemented based on academic curricula or other topics for each stage on a scientific basis, and that the competition topics included for the primary stage inventing a means or finding alternative sources to rationalize water consumption, and new innovation to solve problems. Societal environmental problems. As for the preparatory stage, it includes designing a project to rationalize electrical energy and a new innovation to solve societal environmental problems. As for the secondary stage, it includes applications of artificial intelligence in the fields of (medicine, industry, environment), and a new innovation to solve societal environmental problems.
Moussa pointed out that the conditions of the competition are that the submitted project must not have previously obtained any position in other competitions, and that it be based on individual work in which no more than one student participates. The idea of the submitted work depends on innovation and innovation and that it must be applicable and economically feasible, and that The project materials must be available in the environment, and the project must be presented in written form and on paper with a design (sketch drawing) of the work indicating the name and type of the project, accompanied by a detailed report on the scientific idea, and it must be aware of the principles and objectives of the student unions.
Moussa announced the results of the competition, which included the winners in the primary stage, namely Omar Fathi Muhammad Al-Azabi from Souad Zaghloul T.A. School in Kafr El-Sheikh District, winner of first place, the student Cyril Bassem Shafiq Fikry from Al-Salam T.A. School in Assiut District, winner of second place, and Ahmed Mohamed. Mohamed Al-Sawy from Orman Public Language School in Giza Directorate, winner of third place, Hossam Mostafa Fekry from Al-Ahd Al-Hadith School in Gharbia Directorate, winner of fourth place, and Mohamed Bassem Al-Sayed Abdel Halim from New Kima School in Aswan Directorate, winner of fifth place.
As for the preparatory stage, the student Aida Muhammad Al-Shahat from Al-Sayyeda Aisha Preparatory School for Girls in the Dakahlia District won first place, Yassin Ahmed Mamdouh from the Martyrs Complex School in the Sharqia District won second place, Mina Essam Ezzat from Al-Hayat Official Language School in the Giza Directorate won third place, and Youssef Ahmed Shawky. From Omar bin Abdulaziz Preparatory School for Boys in the Gharbia Directorate in fourth place, and Muhammad Reda Al-Sayyed Ibrahim from the Martyr Mahid Al-Hawari Official Language School in Alexandria Directorate in fifth place.
As for the secondary stage, Abdullah Muhammad Gamal from Sedqi Suleiman Secondary School in Cairo District won first place, Salem Hamada Al-Sawy from Al Salam Private School in Dakahlia District won second place, Muhammad Ahmed Sayed Muhammad from Bahtim Secondary School for Boys in Qalyubia District won third place, and Abdullah Muhammad won third place. Bakr from the Technical Secondary School for Dual Education and Training in the Gharbia District won fourth place, and Salma Ahmed Nabil from Sayyida Zeinab Secondary School from the Qena District won fifth place.
Moussa added that all participants were honored with the final qualification for the Young Inventor Competition, and the student inventors who won the first five places nationwide for the three stages will be honored with financial incentives.
