Minister of Education witnesses the graduation of the first batch of the Zohr School
Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, received Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, at the headquarters of the General Diwan of the Governorate, as part of the celebration of the graduation of the first batch of the Zohr School of Applied Technology in Port Said, with the participation of Eng. Karim Ibrahim Ali Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Michele Quaroni, Ambassador of Italy to Cairo, and Eng. Ahmed El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the El-Sewedy Electric Corporation.
The Minister is accompanied during the events by Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister, and Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Operation and Management Unit of Applied Technology Schools.
It is worth noting that Zohr School of Applied Technology was launched in 2021, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Port Said Governorate, in partnership with IOC, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, Belayim Petroleum Company, and Elsewedy Electric Foundation, with the aim of enhancing the technical skills of young people to improve job opportunities in Port Said Governorate through the education and training of excellent professional technicians, in addition to meeting the industry's needs for qualified workers that are directly linked to economic growth in Egypt.
The Zohr Advanced Technical School includes 5 departments, including specializations in maintenance and operation of energy equipment, electrical maintenance, networks and information security, logistics, and maintenance of cars and light vehicles.
